Our Story. . .
Our journey started in a rural village in Oxfordshire, UK during the summer of 2023. A casual conversation between an NHS GP, a retired Army Colonel, a Generative AI entrepreneur and a Young Mathematics Graduate from the University of Bristol (son of two NHS doctors) laid the foundation of Doctors & Nurses. The chronic shortage of Medical staff in the UK, the constraints around recruitment budgets, the quality of available candidates and the traditional model of NHS recruitment came into discussion. We set about to relish the streamlining challenge and HELP the NHS with international recruitment of quality clincial staff.

By virtue of having a NHS GP in our fold, we were guided by her experience & expertise. The research into this sector meant that international medical recruitment was ripe for disruption. Too often, recruitment agencies simply procure the candidate's CVs and pass them onto the HR departments. Countless hours are therefore lost sifting through the right candidates. Candidates are often a mismatch to advertised vacancies. This places an enormous burden on the HR departments of NHS, Private Healthcare providers and others. The international candidates, upon securing a position in the NHS often find it difficult to adjust to life in the UK. We are hoping to fill this void, both for NHS and the candidates. Every prospective candidate will be interviewed by a UK GMC registered Medical professional to assess their competency and suitability for the role prior to our recommendation to NHS. We undertake full compliance screening, candidate interviews, document checks, references, and other vetting prior to recommending any candidate(s) to our partners. For our candidates, we provide an end-to-end solution for relocation to the UK, be it the assistance with matching with the right opportunity, outlining interview protocol, the provision of visa, initial accommodation, registration with the relevant UK Medical Body and all assistance with regards to settling in. We enlist the medical staff predominately from South Asia and Malaysia where we have partnered up with leading Hospitals, Medical Universities and Clinical Groups.
